The Best Free Apps for Making and Saving Money

Best Free Apps for Making and Saving Money

Some people say there’s no such thing as a free lunch, but there absolutely is. I’ve made (and saved) so much money using the apps below, and always for little effort on my part. So without further ado, here are the best free apps for making and saving money.

Make Money: Shopmium

Shopmium is an app primarily for getting free or discounted food and drink. It displays a list of offers and lets you know which at which local supermarkets you can redeem them. A lot of the stuff on there is completely free – all you have to do is buy it, upload your receipt, and you’ll get the money back – sometimes on the same day. They also offer discounted items, for which you follow the same process. So far, I’ve had £40 worth of food and drink, and discovered some new favourites at the same time.

Save Money: Airtime Rewards

Along with Shopmium, Airtime Rewards is my favourite. It’s completely passive income. All you do is spend in shops like you normally would, and if you shop at a participating retailer, you get a percentage of the money back which can be redeemed against your phone bill. How great is that? I’ve had two months’ worth of phone bills 100% paid by Airtime Rewards, all because I did my normal grocery shopping. Just link your card and you’re away.

Make Money: Swagbucks

With Swagbucks, all you have to do is take surveys or complete other paid tasks, such as watching adverts or completing cash back offers.

Make Money: Receipt Hog

Receipt Hog pays you to take photos of your receipts, and in return you’re given ‘coins’ which can be redeemed against vouchers. Turn everyday shopping into cash with the click of a button… or the tap of a screen.

Making and saving money has never been simpler with these free apps. Have I missed any? Let me know!
